Food Processing
The cooking extruder is equipped with a screen changer designed to prevent solid particles from entering and clogging the die, thereby safeguarding product quality. The incorporation of screen changers is critical, as their absence can lead to significant degradation in the final product.
Furthermore, the screen changer includes a start-up valve that controls pressure buildup within the machine, enhancing operational safety. Prior to transferring the extruded product onto the conveyor belt, the screen changer can be positioned centrally—without a screen—allowing the product mass to be diverted downward for easy inspection of texture and consistency. This facilitates efficient reworking if necessary. The central position also serves as a rapid and secure method to protect downstream equipment from damage, thereby minimizing overall downtime.
